PEIC 2025: The international event for Port Innovation

24/10/2025. The third edition of PEIC (Port Entrepreneurship International Congress) has exceeded all expectations, becoming an essential meeting point for those leading the digital and sustainable transformation of the maritime-port sector. 

Held within the framework of the Valencia Digital Summit at the City of Arts and Sciences, PEIC 2025 brought together 250 professionals from the international port community for an intense day of innovation, networking, and collaboration.

World-Class Speakers 

The quality of the event is reflected in the caliber of its participants. Representatives from the world’s leading port innovation hubs shared their visions and experiences: The PIER (Halifax, Canada), homePort (Hamburg, Germany), Port of Tyne (United Kingdom), Blue Economy Incubator from the Port of San Diego (USA), thinkport VIENNA (Austria), Port of Esbjerg (Denmark), and Fundación Valenciaport, acting as hosts.

The stage also featured representatives from major corporations: Hitachi Europe, with Grant Brown’s keynote on energy transition, and European Space Agency (ESA), demonstrating cross-sector synergies. 

The investment area was present in an innovative reverse pitching session. Funds such as HHLA Next, onenorth Ventures, Signal Ventures, Maersk Growth, and Freight Ventures presented their investment theses directly to attendees, inverting the traditional format and multiplying collaboration opportunities.

The PEIC stage became a window into the future, with 20 carefully selected startups presenting disruptive solutions in: Blue Economy: Biobright, Ocean Ecostructures, Sea Grown, Supply Chain Efficiency: Elonroad, Passify, Aeler, Safety, Security and Resilience: Gaist, Cyraco, Quantum Harbour, Energy Transition: PowerUp Energy Technologies, Arrecife Energy Systems, Walker Subsea Engineering.

PEIC 2025 has demonstrated that Valencia doesn’t just host innovation events, it leads them. We attract international talent, investment capital, and transformative ideas that are shaping the future of the global maritime-port industry.
