Valencia's port cluster gathers for the launch of the 6th Valenciaport Hackathon

Opentop has officially launched the sixth edition of the Valenciaport Hackathon for Startups, taking place on 30 June and 1 July 2026 at the Edificio del Reloj at the Port of Valencia. The launch event brought together the Port Authority of Valencia, Fundación Valenciaport and Innova y acción, along with the challengers and collaborators taking part in this edition.

This edition introduces an international format with a strong focus on strategic matchmaking between startups and challenge owners, with Innova y acción joining as organising partner. The new methodological approaches shaping this Hackathon format work alongside Opentop's matchmaking service to ensure the strongest possible fit between solutions and real sector needs.

The three challenges, presented by the Valenciaport Cluster Innovation Committee, VPI Logística and Hitachi Energy, tackle some of the sector's most pressing issues: AI-powered disruption monitoring and response, smart access and mobility management at the Port of Valencia's Logistics Activity Zone (ZAL), and the development of a multi-vector Energy Management System for port environments.
