PEIC 2026: Welcome to the fourth edition of the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress

The fourth edition of the Port Entrepreneurship International Congress (PEIC) is now open for applications. We are looking for the most innovative startups, scale-ups and tech SMEs working in the maritime-logistics sector. If your technology has the potential to transform how ports operate, apply now and secure your place at one of the most impactful events in global port innovation, taking place on October 21, 2026, at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, Spain.

The Port Entrepreneurship International Congress opens its doors for a fourth time, and this year, the opportunity to be part of it is bigger than ever.

What is PEIC?

PEIC was born with a clear purpose: to bridge the gap between innovators in the maritime-logistics sector and the ports, investors and corporations with the power to scale those innovations globally.

The fourth edition of PEIC takes place on October 21, 2026, at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia, within the Valencia Digital Summit (VDS) one of Europe's leading technology gatherings.

A format built around real connections

Every element of the agenda, soon to be revealed, is designed to move beyond the stage and into meaningful conversations.

The day opens with an institutional perspective on where port innovation stands today and where it needs to go. From there, the programme unfolds around four Innovation Lighthouses: thematic sessions where selected startups pitch their solutions alongside industry experts, addressing the sector's most pressing challenges: port resilience, safety and security; sustainability, decarbonisation and energy transition; supply chain efficiency; and blue economy.

The agenda also includes live demo slots, where startups showcase their product in an interactive, hands-on format; an Investment Squad session, where venture capital funds take the stage to share their investment theses and what they are actively looking for; and keynotes and roundtables exploring the latest trends in port and logistics innovation.

Why apply as a startup

Being selected for PEIC means getting on stage in the format that best fits your project, in front of port authority representatives, corporate innovation leads and active venture capital investors from across Europe and beyond.

Selected startups also receive:

  • International networking: direct access to ports, corporations and venture capital funds across present at PEIC 2026.
  • The chance to compete for the PEIC Audience Choice Award, chosen by the attendees.
  • Complimentary VDS passes for your team, giving you full access to the Valencia Digital Summit.
  • A visit to the Port of Valencia, one of the Mediterranean's most important logistics hubs.
  • PEIC Guest Dinner and special activities: exclusive networking moments outside the conference room, where the most meaningful relationships are built.

Who should apply

PEIC 2026 is looking for startups, scale-ups and tech SMEs with a functional product or MVP and a clear connection to the port and maritime-logistics sector. Relevant areas include port resilience, safety and security; blue economy; supply chain efficiency; and sustainability, decarbonization and energy transition.

If you are building something with the potential to change how ports operate: PEIC is your stage.

Is your innovation focused on port resilience, safety, or security? You can also apply to take part in the PEIC Resilience Forum, an exclusive thematic event taking place on 20 October in Valencia. Find out more here: PEIC Resilience Forum.
