The Mobile World Congress is, year after year, the world's most important technology showcase. And in 2026, Opentop will be there, from March 2 to 5, to connect the maritime-logistics ecosystem with the most disruptive technologies of the moment.

Valenciaport's open innovation hub is heading to MWC-4YFN in Barcelona not just to take the pulse of the global tech landscape, but with a very specific mission: to identify startups with real potential to transform port operations in Valencia, Gandía and Sagunto, and to actively engage in conversations about the future of open innovation in the logistics and port sector.

An agenda full of conversations that matter

Over the four days of the event, the Opentop team will combine networking with participation in roundtables and visibility spaces. Here are the highlights:

• Marine Sustainability at the Telefónica stand. On March 4 at 4 PM, Jorge Marcos, Head of Opentop, will take part in the roundtable "Marine Sustainability: IoT, 5G and aquatic drones." He will share how Fundación Valenciaport is advancing what is now known as "green digitalisation": the use of connected technology to make ports more sustainable and efficient.
• Live from the Spain Pavilion. Helena Ortiz, Ecosystem Manager at Opentop, will participate in a live recording of the podcast "Hablamos con…" by Plataforma ONE (National Entrepreneurship Office), from the 4YFN space at the Spain Pavilion.
• Port open innovation at Valencia Innovation Capital. On March 4 at 1:30 PM, Opentop is hosting its own roundtable at the Valencia Innovation Capital stand. Featuring Gandolapp, Cooling Photonics and Passify, the session will explore the opportunities offered by the matchmaking service and the latest trends in port open innovation. A startup-to-startup conversation, with an ecosystem perspective.

Scouting: the invisible task that matters most

Beyond the stages and microphones, a key part of Opentop's presence at MWC will be active scouting. The team will move through the halls with a clear goal: to find the most disruptive solutions capable of addressing real challenges in the port sector, and to connect them with the companies and organisations operating within the Valenciaport ecosystem.
