The call for proposals for Ports 4.0 is now open: 6.75 million euros to innovate in the Spanish port sector

The deadline is now open. The new Ports 4.0 call represents a unique opportunity for startups, entrepreneurs and innovative companies looking to boost their projects in the port-logistics sector. With a total endowment of 6.75 million euros, this initiative promoted by Puertos del Estado and the Spanish Port Authorities is designed to turn brilliant ideas into realities that transform the industry.

Tailor-made financing for your project

The call offers two funding modalities adapted to the technological maturity level (TRL) of each project:

• Ideas modality (TRL 1-2 )
  Do you have an early stage idea? This modality is designed for you. You will receive a fixed grant of 15,000 euros plus access to incubation services to help you develop your proof of concept. Submission deadline: March 2^nd.
  
  
• Commercial Projects (TRL 7-9 )
  If your solution is ready for the market, you can access funding of up to 80% of the innovation cost, with a ceiling of 2,000,000 euros. Deadline for submission: March 31^st.

What kind of innovations are sought in Ports 4.0?

The call is open to solutions that generate a real impact in any of these areas:

• Logistics and infrastructure efficiency: Optimization of operations, flow management and process improvement.

• Environmental and energy sustainability: Emissions reduction, clean energy and circular economy.

• Digitization and smart platforms: IoT, AI, blockchain and automation

• Port security: Cybersecurity, access control and risk prevention

• Innovation applicable to the nautical or fishing port sector.
