Opentop, the open innovation hub of Valenciaport, has officially opened applications for the 6th edition of the benchmark hackathon in the international port logistics sector. International startups have until May 25 to apply and take on challenges that are redefining how the ports of the future will work.
Participants can compete for €9,000 in prizes: €6,000 awarded by Fundación Valenciaport and €3,000 by Fundación Juan Arizo Serrulla. Winning startups will also earn a speaker spot at the upcoming Port Entrepreneurship International Congress (PEIC), a premier international stage for the port logistics sector, taking place in Valencia this October.

Design an advanced EMS that integrates renewable energy sources, storage systems and electrical loads (OPS, reefers, electric vehicles…) to optimise consumption, estimate avoided emissions and support port operational planning. + More info
Build a real-time monitoring and AI-powered tool to anticipate and manage disruptions at the Port of Valencia (storms, cyberattacks, energy failures, congestion,…) facilitating collaboration between every actor across the port cluster. + More info
Develop a digital model for access management, security and traffic flow at the Port of Valencia's Logistics Activity Zone, privacy-compliant and built to power a true smart logistics park. + More info
3 startups selected per challenge. Two intensive days of co-creation alongside the challenger companies and sector experts, culminating in a final pitch before an international jury.
